The SVA Podcast

You can listen to the SVA Podcast one of two ways. You can simply listen to the Podcast online or you can use subscribe to the Podcast using iTunes.

Option 1: Listen to the SVA Podcast Online
Simply visit The Journey @ Snoqualmie Valley Alliance. From there, you can Play the Latest Episode or View All Shows.

Option 2: Subscribe to the SVA Podcast
Podcasting is like a subscription to a newspaper. You simply "subscribe" to a podcast (also referred to as a "newsfeed" or RSS) to automatically receive updated audio messages from SVA!

What do you need? You actually don't need an iPod to subscribe to podcasts. You do need a computer, some software, and an internet connection. Setting up your podcast is easy; here is how:

Step One: Install iTunes

iTunes is a program that allows you to play music and also designed to receive podcasts. You can download the latest version of iTunes by visiting www.iTunes.com. iTunes is free and is available for both Mac and PC.
Step Two: Subscribe
Next subscribe to the SVA podcast. Simply click here for our available podcasts. iTunes will launch and go directly to our podcast page within iTunes. You'll see our podcast preview image as well as a listing of recent messages. (You can download an individual message from here, also.) Click the free "subscribe" button to subscribe to the podcast.
Step Three: Download
As soon as you've successfully subscribed, the latest message will automatically begin downloading. Please allow some time for the download, since the file size can be large depending on sermon length. After it is complete, you may begin listening to the message.
Step Four: Sync
If you would like to listen to the podcast on your iPod, you will need to Sync. Before syncing with your iPod, you make sure you have the latest iPod software installed on the iPod. Check for updates by clicking here. Follow the instructions given to update and install the software on your iPod.

Once your iPod has been updated, make sure it is plugged in and listed in iTunes in the Sources pane. If iTunes does not automatically sync the podcasts, go to the File menu and select "Update iPod" to manually sync. The SVA Podcast will be listed under the "Podcast" menu on your iPod (Music > Podcasts). Your iPod will remember where you stopped listening so that you don't start the message over every time.

You can also change your preferences by pressing the "settings" button. The Podcast preference window appears - now press the "iPod Preferences" button. You may choose to only have certain podcasts synced, or select how are synced (for example, you may only want the messages you haven't listened to do be synced).
